For a day inside the company to see first-hand how organization, innovation, and industrial culture come together.

On June 23, Forel opened the doors of its headquarters to students from the ITS Academy Machina Lonati in Brescia, who are currently attending the Higher Technical Education program focused on Management Control and Lean Management.

The visit was designed to give students a close up experience inside an Italian manufacturing company specialized in the design and production of solutions for flat and insulating glass processing. It was an opportunity to connect the skills learned in the classroom with the reality of a company where every process requires method, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The day began with a formal welcome accompanied by a presentation of the companies history and organizational model. The students then had the opportunity to take a closer look at several key areas within Forel: administration and financial control, human resources, research and development, safety, environment, and corporate welfare.

After lunch served from the company canteen, the visit continued in the production area, with a specific focus on production layout, process control, warehouse management, and Lean manufacturing principles. This was one of the most meaningful parts of the day, as it allowed students to see directly how work organization, space management, and flow optimization are essential factors in the efficiency of a modern manufacturing company.

For Forel, welcoming students and educational programmes means contributing to the growth of new generations, strengthening the ties between schools, technical training, and real world work experience. Knowledge begins in books, but it’s also reinforced through direct interaction with the people, departments, decisions, and responsibilities that shape a companies day to day.

This visit confirms Forel’s commitment to promoting technical culture, training, and innovation, while recognizing people as the true driving force behind the company’s development and the future of the glass industry.
